John Jiang, missing and delinquent: Treasury claims 2.35 million euros

John Jiang has turned out to be quite a character. The one who was president and alleged owner of Granada is missing and without responding to the claims of the Treasury according to an information published in Voz Pópuli and which we echo for his interest. Always according to this media employees in Spain of the Hope business group headed by Lizhang, it suddenly stopped paying them since the end of 2019. The same sources alluded to by Voz Pópuli point out that the Madrid-based company European Hope Football Group SL belongs to the Chinese group, which the Treasury included in its 2020 list of defaulters for a non-payment of 1.2 million euros. In 2021, the debt is already 2.35 million. Several judges have already given the reason to the plaintiffs with cars dated in the first semester of 2021 in which the “unknown whereabouts” of the debtor are incised

In 2016 John Jiang was the visible face in the process of buying the club from Italian businessman Gino Pozzo for 37 million euros. Who else who gave less or discounted that in addition to being president he was the owner of Granada. In September 2020, the Chinese owners (DDMC) made adjustments in the Board of Directors, highlighting the change of president. Rentao Yi by John Jiang. The change was hardly noticed because the work of the latter was not what is said notorious. But the fact that a former Grenadian president has this trap with the Treasury does not give a good image. It is clear that Granada has nothing to do with the stories of the late Jiang.

Voz Pópuli adds that the club ignores all the chaos in which the missing and indebted Jiang lives, since Hope would no longer have anything to do with Granada. However, they affirm that the owner of the club is the company Daxian 2009, the company created in the times of Pozzo and Pina and that is inactive with headquarters in Barcelona. In the commercial register, John Jiang and Kangning Wang are still listed as administrators. The data has not been updated, something that has been done with the Granada CF SAD company.

The specialized portal “Off the Pitch” recently published that Jiang intended to regain control of the club. Always according to this information, Jiang's plans would go through returning to his previous role with the entity approximately in spring. “My plan is to return in March or April,” he commented. Nothing at all. What we do not know is whether he continues to be honorary president (an honorary position that in practice is useless).
