Jennifer Pareja, officially named CEO of ADO

Former water polo player Jennifer Pareja has been officially appointed as the new general director of the Olympic Sports Association (ADO) at the meeting this Wednesday of its Assembly, where the organization has reiterated its intention to “revitalize” the ADO Plan in this Olympic cycle of Paris 2024 .

Voted the best player in the world in 2013, Jennifer Pareja was the silver medalist with the Spanish water polo team at the London 2012 Games, world champion in Barcelona in 2013 and European champion in 2014. In the last four and a half years she has been advisor to the Presidency Cabinet of the Higher Sports Council (CSD).

“I can only show my most sincere gratitude for the trust placed in me by the CSD and the COE. I am starting this new stage with a very clear purpose: to revitalize the ADO Plan and turn it once again into an engine of enthusiasm, excellence and sporting success , in order for Spain to once again live a true revolution like the one that was the impetus of Barcelona 92”, commented the new general director of ADO.

The ADO Assembly, made up of the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE), the CSD and Radio Televisión Española (RTVE), has also approved the new bodies that will make up the ADO Plan. On behalf of the CSD, its president, José Manuel Franco; the director of the presidential cabinet, Juan María Fernández Carnicer; the deputy general manager of High Competition, Txus Mardarás; and the general director of sports, Fernando Molinero.

On behalf of the COE, its president, Alejandro Blanco, the first vice president, Isabel Fernández; the general secretary, María Victoria Cabezas; and the treasurer, Víctor Sánchez.

And on RTVE, the president, Elena Sánchez; the director of the Cabinet of the Presidency, Verónica Ollé; Arsenio Cañadas, Director of Sports; and Rodolfo Domínguez, commercial director.

Likewise, at the meeting it was highlighted that the main objective of the Association is focused on revitalizing the ADO plan for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
