Jean Montero (MoraBanc Andorra), once again elected ‘Best Young Player’ of the Endesa League

Dominican point guard Jean Montero, from MoraBanc Andorra, has been chosen ‘Best Young Player’ of the Endesa League 2023-2024 for the second consecutive season, after being the favorite of coaches, players, media and fans, as reported this Tuesday by the ACB.

Montero, 20 years old, has taken 81 percent of the votes of these groups and a total of 164.7 points out of a maximum of 204, tripling the 50.3 of the second most voted, Juan Fernández (Río Breogán), and after being the most voted for by the players (45 points), by the coaches (42), by the media (45.7) and in the popular vote (32 out of 51).

The one from Santo Domingo was the one that added the most points among the 16 candidates for the award, all of them Liga Endesa players born in 2002 or later and who had played at least half of the games or played a minimum of 10 minutes per game .

This award comes to Montero after a campaign in which he has become the most valued player in the Principality as a whole (19.5 credits on average), which has allowed him to repeat this award that he achieved as a Real Betis player. and joining his name to other double winners such as the Slovenian Luka Doncic (2016-17 and 2017-18) and Carlos Alocén (2018-19 and 2019-20).
