The five-time Tour de France champion Miguel Induráin will be the ‘hare’ accompanying the first woman classified in the Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon on a bicycle, which will take place on December 4 in the capital of Turia, in an initiative of the brand Enervit sports nutrition.
Induráin, ambassador of Enervit and who used its products in his participation in the Giro d’Italia in the early nineties, will thus be present in a race for which the 30,000 numbers for the 42nd edition have sold out.
In addition, Enervit will be in charge of the refreshment points, where it will provide the runners with energy gels during the race, rich in carbohydrates and vitamins, and will include a protein bar in the runner’s bag.
The brand has participated in meetings prior to the Valencia Marathon in various parts of the country such as Barcelona and Madrid to offer advice on sports supplementation to runners, and it has also been a sponsor of the Trinidad Alfonso Zurich Valencia Half Marathon.
It has also been involved in related projects such as the Foment d’Esportistes amb reptes (FER) Scholarships, to which it will make a contribution of 5,000 euros that will be distributed among 10 Olympic athletes and will also provide its products to the scholarship recipients by 2023.
