Haaland finds an incentive

Haaland’s future is far from Borussia Dortmund, but when remains to be seen. Each transfer market its name is related to the best clubs in European football, although in the current winter it seems ruled out that it will come out. The German team suffered a severe setback with the elimination of the Champions League in the group stage and now his main objective is to fight the Bundesliga until the sprint final al Bavaria.

In that sense, last weekend was encouraging for Dortmund, who reduced the lead after the Munich defeat against Moenchengladbach (1-2) and their victory against Eintracht (2-3). A dangerous day for Bayern to take off definitively (it started with a nine-point advantage) and that finally finished with Borussia six points behind and with hopes of being able to fight for the title.

That is key to motivating Haaland at least until the end of the season, because the Norwegian is a competitive animal that had been somewhat devoid of incentives after the elimination in the Champions League (he still has the Europa League) and with Bayern so far behind in the domestic competition.

Real Madrid

This panorama also benefits Real Madrid, because the roadmap of the white team is to try to sign him from next summer, never in this winter market. For Haaland to feel frustrated and ask to leave imminently would have been an earthquake in the football scene at a time when Madrid is simmering its next big project, which it hopes will coincide with the inauguration of the new stadium.
