Griezmann: “We’ve seen all of Argentina’s matches”

MADRID, 14 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The midfielder of the French team Antoine Griezmann celebrated another step in search of the defense of the title in the World Cup in Qatar 2022, after eliminating (2-0) a demanding Morocco to meet with “a great team” like Argentina.

“What we are doing is very nice. I am proud of the team’s work, there is a 90-minute game left that will have to give everything and continue competing as we are doing,” he said in statements to Gol Mundial, collected by Europa Press.

The ‘Little Prince’ referred to his role with France, not so different from what he has done on other occasions. “It’s always been like this, working up front and defensively. I have more people in front of me and I’m more into creating and looking for those strikers instead of finishing. What the team needs and what has to be done to win,” he said.

“They played very well, a team that worked very well. The second half was difficult for us, they attacked more on the right wing. We made changes and that gave us more security without the ball. We countered as we usually do and found the security of 2- 0,” he added.

The Atlético player referred to Messi’s cross with Argentina in the final on Sunday. “It’s a great team, we’ve seen all of Argentina’s games. Messi is at a great level and so are the others. A team that fights for every ball and is working very well too,” he concluded.
