Granada prevails in Ibiza and Malaga falls in Burgos

MADRID, 15 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Granada won (0-2) against Ibiza this Sunday on the first day of LaLiga SmartBank, a first step in what they hope will be a return to the top flight, while Málaga fell on their visit to Burgos (1- 0).

Aitor Karanka’s team showed more skill, a serious and well-organized block, until the goals came in the second half. Granada went better at the break and, shortly after the break, took the lead with Goldar’s 0-1 own goal.

Ibiza tried, but the visiting team did not give up the attack, with Arezo scoring the 0-2 score with 15 minutes left. After the relegation of last season, Granada puts the first stone in the goal to quickly return to the elite.

Meanwhile, Málaga started the season on the wrong foot with a defeat against Burgos. The Castilian side, who already shone last season on their return to the Second Division 20 years later, won at El Plantío with a goal from Artola in the 62nd minute. The Rubén Castro effect began with wet gunpowder for the people of Malaga.

In addition, Villarreal B torpedoed Racing de Santander in the final moments to win (0-2) at the El Sardinero Stadium. In the duel of the newly promoted Second Division, the goals were delayed until discount time, when Íñiguez (92′) and Arana (95′) silenced the rival feud.
