Giroud, half a step away from Milan

The Milan will reinforce its lead for the 2021/22 season with the addition of Olivier Giroud. The 34-year-old French striker will abandon the discipline of Chelsea, a team with which he had one year left on his contract, and will sign for the ‘rossonero’ team for the next two seasons, until June 2023.

In the absence of official confirmation, on the afternoon of this Thursday from Italy his arrival was already taken for granted, in exchange for 2 million euros that he will receive the Chelsea for giving up staying with him for the last year of the contract he had signed.

The arrival of Giroud it will undoubtedly mean a luxurious reinforcement for the Milan from Pioli, which in this season 2021/22 returns to the Champions League after several courses without contesting the maximum continental competition.

Although there is still a lot of transfer market, at the moment Giroud would compete for the position with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Rafael Leao Y Ante Rebic, among others.
