From pristine white to passionate red: this is the dress Leonor wore at her El Pardo party

The look chosen by the Princess of Asturias for the Bourbon conclave in which she celebrated her 18th birthday was a mystery until today. This Thursday we saw the first images of Leonor entering the palace of El Pardo where he blew out the candles. She had changed her immaculate white suit for a very youthful and striking red dress.

The cut of the design was pure Leonor style: midi length, fluid skirt fitted at the waist and short sleeves with a round neckline. The Heiress also chose to wear comfortable high-heeled shoes, in nude, and she changed her ponytail (which gave her so much trouble during the Oath of the Constitution) for a loose and polished mane, with two strands in front.

The party lasted almost four hours. The first guests arrived at 8:00 p.m., with Don Juan Carlos at the head, and began leaving before midnight. A light cocktail was served and everyone sang Happy Birthday when the cake, which Infanta Sofía had made the day before, came out. The evening was also enlivened by a live music band.

Leonor still has a party left. This weekend, she will celebrate her birthday with her classmates from the Zaragoza Military Academy, who have prepared a meal for her at the city’s trendy bar.
