Everton breaks with its Russian sponsors USM, Megafon and Yota

The Goodison Park club announced that it is ending the contracts of its main sponsors

Everton made public on Tuesday that it has broken its contract with its biggest sponsor, with signatures belonging to Alisher Usmanov, the Russian metal tycoon sanctioned by the European Union as a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The Goodison Park club announced that it has suspended “with immediate effect all sponsorships with the Russian companies USM, Megafon and Yota”.

In its statement, Everton expressed that it is shocked by the events in Ukraine and that “this tragic situation must end as soon as possible so that no more lives are lost.”

He added that the players, coaching staff and everyone who works at Everton support his Ukrainian winger Vitalii Mikolenko and his family.
