Erviti will ride his fifteenth Tour of Spain replacing Carlos Verona in the Movistar Team

The Spanish cyclist Imanol Erviti (Movistar Team) will ride the 78th edition of La Vuelta a España, which starts this Saturday in Barcelona, ​​in what will be his fifteenth participation in the Spanish round, in this case replacing Carlos Verona, who will be out for physical problems.

“As you have seen, I am the eighth rider of the team for La Vuelta, I am super happy to be in this race, I was very excited and I have come to enjoy it and do the best job for my teammates”, Erviti declared through a note of his team on the social network X (formerly Twitter), thus announcing the replacement.

The man from Pamplona has played 14 editions of La Vuelta so far, all with the ‘telephone’ team and his best result is 47th place that he achieved in 2020. In addition, Erviti has achieved two stage victories, one in the 2008 round and another in 2010.
