Denis Suárez replicates “some false statements” by Mouriño and assures that his “dream” is to continue at Celta

MADRID, 28 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Galician midfielder Denis Suárez clarified “some of the false information” that he considers Carlos Mouriño, president of Celta, gave this Thursday at a press conference, and reiterated that his “dream is none other than to wear the shirt” of the celestial team.

“Today the president gave a press conference about my situation and, since you are always there supporting me, I want to clarify some of his false statements. It’s been many months since he threatened me that: ‘I’m going to make sure Balaídos whistles for you’ It’s time to answer,” Denis Suárez responded through his social networks hours after the leader was very critical of his behavior and even accused him of having “betrayed” the club.

Suárez began by talking about the “incident” that Mouriño had referred to between the club and a representation agency and that would have given the footballer an economic injection. The player explained the situation through three points.

In the first, he makes it clear that he has the contract that Celta “offered” him, that he has fulfilled it “to the letter” with “the love” he has had for the club “since he was a child”. “Contract, by the way, of which I do respect confidentiality,” he warned.

Suárez also indicated that he “never” has sold “a player from Celta or from any other team”, in addition to inviting Mouriño to demonstrate “this statement with the relevant documents, as well as the income of the money he is talking about” .

To close this matter, it refers to the Collective Agreement and Celta’s internal regulations, which “collect very serious sanctions (including termination without compensation) for players who act against the interests of the club.”

“However, Celta has not only never imposed any sanction on me but has not even started any kind of case against me for that reason. Who is lying then?” Denis Suárez raised.

“I NEVER RECEIVED SUCH AN OFFER FROM CELTA”

The footballer also addressed the issue of his departure, after the president of Celta reproached him for rejecting four offers made by the club, even giving details about some of them.

Mouriño stated that in one of the offers the youth squad would receive a net salary of 12 million euros over three seasons. “I never received such an offer from Celta. I invite you again to publicly show the document of that offer and my refusal. There is none,” he replied.

In another of them, the leader affirmed that Suárez had rejected a team that was playing in the Champions League asking them for an exorbitant figure. “I will not say the name of the club out of respect, but the money problem was not on my part and it was on this team that had to sell due to a salary limit issue. I could not undertake any operation no matter how cheap it was”, he pointed out.

“To close the issue of offers, of the other two that the president cites: I brought one and there was no agreement anywhere and I have no record of the other,” said the Galician player.

“MY DREAM IS NO OTHER THAN TO WEAR THE CELTA SHIRT”

Denis Suárez did not want to go into much of his situation regarding training with his teammates, as it is a matter that is in the hands of “Labor Inspection”. “But the words of the president and the images speak for themselves,” he settled.

The footballer also denied what was said by his president, who pointed out that his only purpose was to harm the club. “You have heard me offer solutions without any agency involved to the club to fix everything and be able to fulfill my dream, which is none other than to wear the Celta shirt. It still is,” he concluded.
