Daniel Wass has decided that his immediate future is to play for Atlético. Valencia have the last word to decide whether to accept or reject the rojiblanca offer, but the Dane is clear about it. If the club refuses to transfer him, he is willing to stand and not play for Valencia again in the five months that remain on his contract.
On January 9, AS announced that Daniel Wass was the player chosen by Atlético to replace Trippier’s departure. Since then, negotiations continued to make progress. The player has an agreement with the mattress club that would link him until 2023 and a season more conditioned to objectives. Valencia, meanwhile, has received an offer from Atlético of around one million euros.
This Wednesday is presented as the key day in Operation Wass. President Anil Murthy and Miguel Ángel Corona meet with Bordalás to make the final decision about Danish. If the coach decides that he does not want to let his footballer go, Valencia is prepared to reject the proposal for Atletico.
