Cristiano returns to training with Juventus

Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo returned Wednesday to train with Juventus of Turin in the sports center of the Continassa, after being absent on Tuesday's session and travel to Funchal, in the Madeira archipelago, because of a health problem suffered by his mother, Dolores Aveiro.

After spending the day in Funchal pending the conditions of his mother, who suffered a stroke and is currently stable, Cristiano returned to Turin and exercised under the orders of coach Maurizio Sarri, Juventus reported.

“Thank you all for the messages of support to my mother. She is stable and recovering in the hospital. My family and I thank the medical team that is taking care of her and we kindly ask for privacy at this time,” Cristiano wrote Tuesday in his account from Twitter

CR7 and his teammates are still unaware when their next commitment will be played, because Italy is experiencing an emergency due to the outbreak of the coronavirus that caused the postponement of many matches both in Serie A and in the Italian Cup.

Juventus was going to play on Wednesday the semifinal of the Italian Cup against Milan, after 1-1 of the first leg of San Siro, but the meeting was postponed until a date to be determined.

In the same way, it is still unknown if this weekend the Serie A League will order to recover, behind closed doors, the duel postponed last week against Inter Milan or if it will confirm the celebration of the twenty-seventh day, in which Juventus would visit the Bologna

Italy has registered, according to the latest official Civil Protection balance sheet, a total of 1,694 infections. Of these, 1,577 patients suffer from the virus, 34 have died and 83 people have been cured.
