Cho debuts with Real as a starter

Fans who come to Anoeta will be able to see one of the new faces in action from the start: Momo Cho debuts as a starter for Real in the friendly against Toulouse. The other signing that is in the call is Brais Méndez, who will wait for his opportunity on the bench. The first line-up of the new Real is made up of a mixture of recognizable protagonists and others less common. Remiro will be the goalkeeper; Imanol brings into play a defense of four made up of Gorosabel, Zubeldia, Pacheco and Rico; the system points to the diamond at the end of last season: Illarra as a pivot, Turrientes and Navarro inside, with Silva as a pure midfielder. Cho could be the second striker and Karrikaburu will act as a striker. The following reserves await on the bench: Zubiaurre and Marrero as substitute goalkeepers, Sola, Aritz, Merino, Carlos Fernández, Brais, G. de Zárate, Martín, Jonathan Gómez, Magunazelaia, Kortajarena and Martón. Ryan, Isak, Barrenetxea, Le Normand, Olasagasti, Aihen, Guevara and Zubimendi are left out of the squad.

The premiere reveals the first injuries of the preseason. Guevara has discomfort in the right adductor and pubis; Zubimendi and Aihen are injured in the left adductor; and Olasagasti suffers a trauma to the coccyx. Bautista and Djouahra will watch the game from the stands because they are not part of Real’s plans. The winger is negotiating his transfer to Rijeka in the Croatian league.
