BARCELONA, 25 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Catalan team won this Wednesday against Jamaica by a lofty 6-0 in Montilivi (Girona), in the first match of the Catalan team in three years and against a Jamaica without its best players that crashed in the middle of the storm which was the ‘cuatribarrada’, led by Gerard Deulofeu and his ‘hat-trick’.

Catalonia, after the pandemic, wanted football and the more than 6,000 fans who came to Montilivi enjoyed 6 goals, half of them from Gerard Deulofeu who has shone this season at Udinese, with 13 goals and 5 assists in the series a

He scored the first goal in minute 4, opening the can after a bad transfer behind Jamaican defender Ajeanie Talbott that the winger, today a center forward, intercepted and took advantage of to dribble past goalkeeper Barnes and score at will.

Before half an hour, Riudarenes scored the second, a pass from Carles Aleñá, and five minutes later the ‘Bético’ came 3-0, with a headed goal by Marc Bartra after a lateral free kick kicked by winger Cristian Tello.

After a shot by Aleñá to the side of the net, Deulofeu finished his hat-trick just before the break after poor control, precisely, by the Getafe midfielder who took advantage, rogue, to make it 4-0.

Already in the second half the changes blurred Catalonia, which took a long time to get the ball back and dominate the rival. Over time, a Jamaica without Leon Bailey, Michail Antonio, Andre Gray or Liam Moore, some of the stars of a Jamaica that is 64th in the FIFA ranking, was once again locked up by a Catalonia that pressed.

The most prominent player in the second half was the Barça B striker, Ferran Jutglà, who made a punctual presence in the first team this season. The Blaugrana first sent a ball to the post as a warning and on the next attack move he put his leg in, throwing himself to the ground, to finish off a pass behind the ‘parakeet’ Javi Puado, who also entered as a refresher. Puado put the ‘blank set’ penalty that he caused to close the Catalan party.
