Carballés is ‘alone’ in the quarter-finals of Marrakech

Munar missed two match balls

MADRID, 6 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis player Roberto Carballés advanced to the quarterfinals of the Marrakech tournament, of the ATP 250 category and which is played on land, with the withdrawal of the Bulgarian Dimitar Kuzmanov, remaining as the only Spanish representative this Thursday in the Moroccan event after the elimination of Jaume munar.

Carballés advanced with the abandonment of his rival after winning the first two games, after waiting a day to play this game since on Wednesday he was suspended for almost the entire day due to poor conditions on the center court.

The canary, looking to straighten out a 2023 with just victories, will face the Dutch Tallon Griekspoor in the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, Munar said goodbye with a painful comeback (6-7(4), 7-6(6), 6-4) against the Italian Andrea Vavassori, where the Spaniard missed two match points in the tie-break of the second set.
