Beñardo García, Honorary President of CD Bidasoa Irún, dies

Beñardo García, Honorary President of CD Bidasoa and its top leader in one of its most successful eras, has died at the age of 75, as confirmed this Monday by the Guipuzcoan team on its website.

“It pains us deeply to break this news. Our Honorary President, Beñardo García, has died at the age of 75. We only have words of gratitude towards him and his work for the Bidasoa Sports Club. Under the presidency of Beñardo García, Bidasoa Irún achieved many of its greatest successes, especially the historic European Cup in 1995.
