Béjar will host the second Spanish Chair Basketball Super Cup

The Antonio Sánchez Municipal Sports Center on Calle de Béjar (Salamanca) will host, on September 30 and October 1, the second edition of the Spanish Super Cup for wheelchair basketball, according to a statement from the Spanish Sports Federation of Persons with Physical Disabilities (FEDDF).

The competition will be played by Amiab Albacete, champion of the League and of the first edition of the Super Cup; Bidaideak Bilbao, champion of the Copa del Rey; Ilunion, runner-up in the League, and Fundación Aliados de Valladolid, third in the domestic competition last year.

Both semifinal matches will be held at the Antonio Sánchez Municipal Sports Center on Calle de Béjar (Salamanca) on Saturday, September 30 in the afternoon, while the duel between the winners of these two crosses, with the title and the same setting, will be the Sunday October 1 in the morning.

“This second edition of the Spanish Super Cup endorses the FEDDF’s commitment to continue promoting wheelchair basketball, whose level grows year after year, with the aim of continuing to take steps towards its equalization in sports formats with basketball on foot “said the president of the FEDDF, Enrique Álvarez.

The first edition, held in Albacete in 2022, was won by the host team, Amiab Albacete, beating Ilunion in the final. The other two participating teams were Bidaideak Bilbao and Econy Gran Canaria.
