Queen Letizia has started the course with her first event on the agenda: the Unicef Spain Awards ceremony, of which she is honorary president. The Queen has presented the Unicef España Transforma awards to the Congenital Cardiopathies Unit of the La Paz Hospital in Madrid; Joaquín Ruiz-Giménez to Shabana Basij-Rasikh, Afghan activist and co-founder of Sola (School of Leadership of Afghanistan); and the Communication to the journalist Alexia Columba of ABC, for her report on orphanages in Ukraine.
