Austria-Denmark delayed due to power outage in Vienna

The power outage occurred in district 2 of the Austrian capital and affects some 1,500 households.

The start of the match between Austria and Denmark, in the UEFA Nations League, has been delayed due to a power cut in the surroundings of the Ernst Happel stadium in Vienna. The match was to start at 8:45 p.m.

According to the public broadcaster ORF, the power outage occurred in district 2 of the Austrian capital and affects some 1,500 homes.

The reasons for the outage are unknown for now, said a spokeswoman for the company that manages the Vienna power grid.
