Aspas gives wings to Celta in Girona

MADRID, 26 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

RC Celta beat Girona (0-1) this Friday at the start of the third day of LaLiga Santander played in Montilivi, the first win for the Galicians this season, thanks to Iago Aspas’ streak.

The Spanish international, who continues to knock on Luis Enrique’s door to go to the World Cup, made the difference in an isolated play and gave the three points to a Celta team that has 4 points and confidence, after the draw with Espanyol and the defeat with Real Madrid.

The newly promoted Girona did not have success, patience and the desire to make the victory against Getafe good. The first half was distributed in prominence although with hardly any chances. Girona jumped with the intention of having the ball and Celta grew with Óscar in the second section towards the break.

After the break, Carles Pérez controlled and paused a rainy ball until assisting Aspas, who, despite leaning over, took a left-footed shot across the post that made it 0-1. A scorer in the first three days of the League, the sky-blue star put Solari on a plate for the second, but the shot went wide.

Girona reacted with Míchel’s substitutions and forced at home, but Coudet’s team also knew how to read the moment without suffering excessively. Ureña had the clearest for the locals, who kept three points out of nine at the start of the three home games. Meanwhile, Celta wakes up on the board with Aspas.
