The American shooting guard Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman became a new player for Surne Bilbao Basket this Friday, the third signing for the Basque team’s next campaign, with a contract for one season with the option of another.
Abdur-Rahkman arrives in Bilbao and the Endesa League from Turkish side Darussafaka, a team with which he has averaged 15.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists in the FIBA Champions 23/24.
In addition, the American played in the Italian Lega with Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro and, before making the leap to Europe, he was in the NCAA with the Michigan Wolverines shirt, averaging 12.9 points and 3.9 rebounds in the 17/18 campaign.
In that campaign, the guard went on to play in the March Madness final against Villanova, going up to 23 points in the title match. As Bilbao Basket values in its statement, the player was part of a great generation of the Wolverines along with Jordan Poole, Moritz Wagner, Duncan Robinson and Zavier Simpson.
