Algeciras add three points to their locker against Llagostera (0-1)

Algeciras played and won 0-1 as a visitor in last Friday’s match at the Camp d’Esports Municipal de Llagostera. Llagostera arrived with the intention of returning to the path of victory after suffering a 2-0 loss in the previous match against Linares Deportivo. For their part, Algeciras had to settle for a 1-1 draw against At. Balearics. Thanks to this result, the team from Algeciras is fifth, while Llagostera is nineteenth at the end of the duel.

The match got off to a positive start for Algeciras, who opened the match thanks to Pepe Mena’s goal in the 30th minute. With this 0-1, the first part of the match concluded.

Neither team managed to score in the second period, so the match ended 0-1.

Both coaches made moves on the benches. The Llagostera coach brought in Puig, Galindo, Pere and Álvaro García for Antonio Romero, Campins, Marc Manchón and Ilyas Chaira, while Algeciras brought in Javi Duarte, Victor López, Juan Serrano, Lembezat and Bueno for Borja Fernández, Leiva, Pepe Mena, Roni and Álvaro Romero.

The referee gave a yellow card to Fran Varela, Sergio Gil, Bruno Perone, Manu Royo, Ilyas Chaira and Álvaro García on behalf of Llagostera and Borja Fernández, Nico Van Rijn, Juan Serrano and Tristan on behalf of the Algeciras team.

With 48 points, Iván Ania’s team was in fifth place in the table, in the playoff spot for promotion to the Second Division, while the team led by Oriol Alsina was in nineteenth position with 25 points at the end of the match.

On the following day, the two teams will play at home. The Llagosterense team will face Alcoyano and, for its part, Algeciras will do so against UCAM Murcia.
