HAMBURG (GERMANY), June 4 (dpa/EP) –
A motorcycle pilot died this Sunday after colliding head-on with a cyclist who was participating in the Ironman European Championship event in the German city of Hamburg, as confirmed by the Police to the ARD channel.
According to the information, the motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident, which occurred at 2:25 a.m. after the start of the competition early in the morning. The accident runner, he added, was seriously injured but his life is not in danger.
Likewise, the cameraman who was traveling as a co-pilot on the motorcycle suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital, as was the participant in the sports event.
The accident occurred on a straight section of the road, near a dike. The collision occurred for reasons that are still unknown.
