A dodgy Ibiza far from home

Improve away from home. That is one of the subjects that UD Ibiza has pending with Paco Jémez. Because the sky blue have only added seven points in the eight games that have been played away from home in the second round. In addition, the last victory for Paco Jémez’s team as a visitor was almost three months ago. It was on January 22 at the La Rosaleda stadium, with the thrashing of Málaga (0-5).

Outside of Can Misses, UD Ibiza has recorded two wins, four losses and one draw. With Paco Jémez at the helm, the Balearic Islands beat Fuenlabrada (1-2) and in the aforementioned duel against Málaga. They have fallen in the last three trips: Burgos (2-1), Amorebieta (3-1) and Girona (5-1). They also lost against Tenerife and Almería (in both cases 2-0); and tied in their visit to Ponferradina (1-1). Namely, that of the eight matches played away from home in the second round, the islanders have only scored points in three of them. The last time they joined was in Ponferrada on March 6.

the opposite at home

The situation is diametrically opposite when talking about what has been achieved in Can Misses, playing as locals. The islanders have added 15 points in their fief, in this 2022, slightly more than double those achieved at home. In addition, there is the circumstance that the sky blue have not yet fallen this year at home, where they have achieved four wins and three draws. Only Zaragoza, Leganés and Real Sociedad B have taken points from the Ibizan municipal stadium.

Jémez has given his squad two days off. The sky blue squad will return to training this Wednesday, to start preparing for the duel that will face UD Las Palmas next Sunday, at 4:15 p.m. at Can Misses. The islanders will return to their refuge, where they feel much safer.
