The criminal court of Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal of the former national athletic selector Miguel Angel Milln Sagrera against his sentence to 15 years and six months of jail for sexually abusing two young people he trained when they were minors in Tenerife.
Milln He was convicted in February 2019 by the Provincial Court of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and filed an appeal to the Canary Superior Court of Justice that was dismissed, after which he presented to the Supreme Court an appeal that has now also been dismissed.
In addition to the penalty of 15 years and six months in jail, Milln was sentenced by the Audience of Santa Cruz de Tenerife to special disqualification to train as a coach, to compensate his victims, not to develop sports activities with minors and to participate in a training program of sexual orientation.
Miguel Angel Milln, who has been in prison since January 2017, was for years one of the most prestigious coaches in the country, having prepared sport figures such as Antonio Pealver, silver medal in the 1992 Barcelona Games, who declared against him during the trial.
