Leonor, in Catalonia. The first stopover will be this Friday, July 5, in Lleida. The Princess of Asturias has travelled to the town of Talarn in Lleida to accompany her father, Felipe VI, in the presentation of the Royal Orders to the new Promotion of the Non-Commissioned Officer Scale, which took place at the General Basic Academy of Non-Commissioned Officers (AGBS). Only five years later, on July 10, Leonor will travel with her family to Girona, where she will present the Princess of Girona Awards.
We saw the cadet lieutenant, in her Army uniform, talking to her father before the ceremony began. Don Felipe, also in uniform, was wearing the sash of captain of the three armies. Both wore the Golden Fleece. The national anthem was played and they took their places on the presidential platform.
This event, the first one they have participated in together without the Queen, has been scheduled just a few days after Leonor received her appointment as second lieutenant in Zaragoza.
The mission of the General Basic Academy for Non-Commissioned Officers is to train non-commissioned officers to perform their specialty; to instruct students in the attitudes proper to non-commissioned officers and to provide general knowledge about National Defense, the Organization of the Armed Forces and International Organizations.
