Nearly 8,000 cyclists participate this Saturday in the Mallorca 312 OK Mobility

The number 312, Vincenzo Nibali, receives the baton from the Italian Ivan Basso

Nearly 8,000 runners will participate this Saturday in the thirteenth edition of the Mallorca 312 OK Mobility cycling tour, which will take place over three routes -312, 225 and 167 kilometers- and in which the Italian Vincenzo Nibali, who will wear the bib number, will be honored 312.

This will be announced this Friday at the official presentation, held at the Corredor Fair in the presence of Vincenzo Nibali, the CEO of Mallorca 312 OK Mobility, Xisco Lliteras; the president of the Senate, Ander Gil; the mayor of Muro, Miquel Porquer; the General Directorate of Tourism of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Isabel Vidal; the Chief Marketing and Digital Officer OK Mobility, Pedro Pablo Sastre and the councilor for Transition, Tourism and Sports of the Council of Mallorca, Andreu Serra.

Likewise, there were also the professional ex-cyclists who will participate this Saturday together with Vincenzo Nibali, the also Italian Ivan Basso, the Irishman Sean Kelly and the Spanish Pedro Horrillo, Joseba Beloki, Óscar Pereiro and Miquel Alzamora, founder of Mallorca 312 OK Mobility.

This Saturday at the start they will be joined by Alberto Contador, Óscar Freire and the Argentine national soccer coach, Lionel Scaloni.

Ivan Basso has handed over the number 312 to his compatriot Vincenzo Nibali. “Now cycling is not my main job and I come here looking forward to enjoying the race and all the people, especially friends like Ivan Basso with whom I have shared so many years of cycling,” he said.

In the presentation, the CEO of Mallorca 312, Xisco Lliteras, thanked all the participants for their involvement in the event and remembered Pedro Pascual, president, owner and founder of the Viva Hotels chain, who recently passed away. “He has been a key player in the Mallorca 312 OK Mobility and every kilometer of this edition is dedicated to him”, stated Lliteras.

The president of the Senate, Ander Gil, once again participates in the Mallorca 312 OK Mobility. “I was looking forward to this day again, because Mallorca is one of the most wonderful places to practice cycling. Everything here is second to none: the sun, the sea and the organization’s treatment of the participant is exceptional”, he stated. .

For his part, the mayor of Muro, Miquel Porquer, highlighted that what he likes most about the Mallorca 312 OK Mobility is “how Muro is put on the world map every year thanks to the test that brings together participants from all corners of the world”.
