MADRID, 26 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Spanish table tennis players Roger Quesada, Renata Shypsa and Jiaqi Guo have been selected to participate in the Eurotalents specific training program in 2023, according to a statement from the Royal Spanish Table Tennis Federation (RFETM).
The European Table Tennis Union (ETTU, according to its acronym in English) published this Wednesday the list of athletes selected to participate in said program, with the incursion of three athletes from the RFETM for the next course.
The preparation of this list was based on the results of the paddlers in the Eurotalents 2022 program, where the RFETM athletes obtained three of the twelve places to continue their sports development in the continental arena.
On the women’s side, Renata Shypsa and Jiaqi Guo are the paddlers with the best scores in the Eurotalents 2022 program, so they will continue for another year in this program. In addition, the paddler Roger Quesada, champion of Spain and recently fourth in the prestigious Stiga Masters, made a place for himself in the men’s side.
According to the statement, the continuation of these athletes within the ETTU Eurotalents program shows the “good line that the RFETM MiniSpin program continues to have”.
