22 Paralympic Promises will participate with Spain in the European Youth Games in Finland

The Promising Paralympic Athletics, Swimming and Table Tennis teams will be at the European Youth Games to be held in Pajulahti, Finland, between July 1 and 3, with a total of 22 of the 48 athletes who will attend between 14 and 23 years old and who will try to get metal for the Spanish delegation, as reported on Wednesday by the Spanish Paralympic Committee (CPE).

The modality with the most Spaniards will be athletics, where the Liberty Seguros Paralympic Promises Athletics Team will include Elena Latre, Joan Sirera, Tania Castillo, Ana Moya, Ismael Romero, Sydney Fokou, Carolina Yuste, Nuria Pascual, Gerard Vivas, Gonzalo Iniesta , Gara Fuentes and the guide Jaime del Río.

The AXA Promising Paralympic Swimming Team will be represented by Aitana Estrada, Mamhamadu Dambeleh, Enrique Alhambra, Álex Villarejo and Jaime Montero, and the Verallia Team of Paralympic Promising Table Tennis will be represented by Iker González, Marlon López, Alejandro Díaz, Edgar Mataró , Olaia Martinez and Amanda Chenoll.


The Spanish representation in the European Youth Games will be a total of 54 members, of which 35 are men and 19 women. The sport in which the most Spaniards will compete will be athletics, where there will be 26 athletes plus six guides, followed by swimming and table tennis, both with six representatives, goalball and judo with four, and boccia with three. In addition, it is the case that one of the athletes participates in both judo and goalball.

These Teams of Promises created by the CPE together with sponsors of the ADOP Plan try to help athletes to reach a high level of performance through technical training plans and help to attend competitions both nationally and internationally. .
