'Women In Bike' shines at the Critérium Reinas de la Alhambra

A large group of cyclists from the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC) 'Women In Bike' project participated last weekend in the Critérium Reinas de la Alhambra, the first women's cycling criterium in Spain and which brought together the participants the central Gran Vía de Colón in Granada.

Spanish cyclists such as Mavi García, Sara Martín or Lourdes Oyarbide, and international cyclists such as Letizia Paternoster or Ashleigh Moolman have starred in an event organized by Relevo and promoted by the Department of Tourism, Commerce and Sports of the Government of Andalusia with the collaboration of the Granada City Council which has also had the participation of 'Women In Bike', the project of the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation supported by Movistar to promote women's cycling at a sports and leisure level.

Dozens of participants from the 'Women In Bike' gatherings enjoyed an 'indoor cycle' class on Saturday at the YO10 Sport Club Granada fitness center, in which Mavi García, Sara Martín and Ashleigh Moolman were also present. Already on Sunday, the women of 'Women In Bike' had the opportunity to ride on the same circuit that would later host the tests for professional cyclists.

Regarding the competition, the five-time Spanish champion Mavi García made an undeniable attack with which she surpassed Letizia Paternoster and Ashleigh Moolman, who closed the podium of the event.
