With a 28–20 win over the Commanders, the Rams move up to the seventh spot in the NFC.

It got interesting within the fourth quarter when the Commanders switched players and used Jacoby Brissett. whereas in the end, the Los Angeles Rams won 28–20, making their record 7–7 on the season.

Matthew Stafford threw a touchdown pass of 23 yards to Demarcus Robinson early in the fourth quarter, giving the Rams the lead. It looked like Los Angeles would win the game.

But then Sam Howell was put on the bench in favor of Jacoby Brissett, and Washington became life.

It only took Brissett five plays to lead the offense 67 yards, and Terry McLaurin scored from 29 yards out to end the drive.

With 4:47 left, the Commanders grabbed the ball back after a punt by the Rams. Another long pass to McLaurin put them on the 1-yard line.

That would have been a big plus, especially since the team plays New Orleans upon Thursday night.

Even though there were a few mistakes, it took the commanders nine more snaps to finally score on a 3-yard pass in Brissett to Curtis Samuel.

Joey Slye tried to make an extra point, but it was stopped, so the score stayed at 28–20. Washington chose not to go for two.

Cooper Kupp then blocked Slye’s try at an onside kick, and the Rams kept the ball for the remainder of the contest to win.

Kupp also had the longest score of the game. Early to the third quarter, Matthew Stafford threw a 62-yard touchdown pass to Kupp, who was wide open. At the end, Kupp caught eight passes for 111 yards on eight targets.

Going back Kyren Williams had another great game. He ran for 152 yards and scored a touchdown, but he lost two fumbles with the first half. There was only 1:46 left at that point.

Before being replaced, Howell completed 11 out of 26 passes for 102 yards, with a score and an interception.

Brissett completed 8 out of 10 passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns. McLaurin caught a total of six passes and scored a touchdown.

The Rams are now 7-7 and are in seventh place in the NFC. Their game against No. 8 New Orleans in Thursday night is clearly important for the playoffs.

The 4-10 Commanders are no longer in the running for the playoffs, and it looks like big changes are still on the way for the team. The team will play the Jets on the road next week.

This past weekend, the Packers, Vikings, while Falcons all lost. If the Los Angeles Rams beat the Washington Commanders, they would have taken over seventh place in the NFC.

Late in the game, Ron Rivera’s team made things interesting, but the Rams clung on to win 28–20. It was a much-needed win among the Rams after their overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens last week, and Sean McVay’s team led the way.

Matthew Stafford was very good and threw for 258 yards. Cooper Kupp possessed his second consecutive 100-yard game. In the win, Kyren Williams ran for 152 yards or a score, adding to his impressive run of form.

It was a 28–20 win for the Rams over the Washington Commanders on Sunday at SoFi Stadium to Los Angeles. Matthew Stafford threw two scores.

The win puts the Rams firmly back in the running for the NFC playoffs. Right now, three teams are tied at 7-7 for the last two wild card places.

Four of the last five games the Rams have played have been wins. They have also won since last week’s sad walk-off loss within overtime to the Baltimore Ravens.

Coach Sean McVay said, “It doesn’t mean anything to me unless you told me the season is over right now.”

“What’s most important is how we progress and handle our business across the next 72 hours followed by before the game on Thursday.”

In the first half, the Rams had trouble in the red zone, which might have turned this match into a victory.

The Rams only scored a touchdown once in four trips into the red zone. They lost the ball twice and settled to two field goals.

Havrisik missed a field goal from 43 yards out that would have put the Rams ahead by 24 points.

Instead, the Commanders switched quarterbacks and used rookie Jacoby Brissett to lead a five-play, 67-yard drive that scored a touchdown and cut the lead to 28-14.

Another touchdown drive led by Brissett rendered it a one-score game after a three-and-out. The Rams were able to reclaim the on-side kick, though, and get a first down who ended the game.

Stafford had 258 yards as well as two scores by the end. Kupp caught 8 balls for 111 yards and a score. Kyren Williams, a rookie running back, ran for 151 yards in the end.
