Vincic will direct Atlético-Milan and Marciniak the Sheriff-Real Madrid

Slovenian Slavko Vincic has been appointed to lead the Atlético de Madrid-Milan match on Wednesday, corresponding to the fifth day of the Champions League, in so much so that Sheriff Tiraspol-Real Madrid will be refereed by Polish Szymon Marciniak.

Vincic, who will turn 42 on Thursday, will be assisted on the wings by his compatriots Tomaz Klancnik and Andraz Kovacic; the fourth official will be Nejc Kajtazovic; and in the VAR will be the Dutch Pol van Boekel and Jochem Kamphuis.

The Maribor referee, international since 2010, has once led each team, Milan on March 11 in the draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford (1-1), and Atlético on November 25 of last year against Lokomotiv Moscow, a match that ended with a 0-0 draw.
