Victor Valdés rejected a goalkeeper for being youtuber

Carles Santaló, better known as Kolderiu, is one of the most famous FIFA youtubers in Spain. More than million and a half subscribers, the Catalan that is part of Dux Gaming combines his life on the internet with his career as a goalkeeper. After passing through the Espanyol quarry, Kolderiu has defended the goal of Granollers, Horta, Llagostera in Second B and this summer He was signed by the International Doge of Madrid to leave on loan to Unión Adarve looking for minutes.

Unfortunately, a serious medical problem that spent three weeks in the hospital prevented him from debuting until a few weeks ago and now, in a new video on his channel, he has told a curious anecdote from last summer that he lived with Victor Valdés, who has just arrived at the Horta bench. Kolderiu explains that when he learns that his “idol” is going to coach a third division team, he sent the reports and a few days later he received a call from Valdés.

“I thought it was a sub that was messing me up, but he told me 'good, I'm Victor Valdés', and I was left blank. He told me that he had seen my videos and that he is interested in the project. I was thrilled but then the YouTube topic came up. I tell him that I uploaded my soccer videos and made summaries of the matches, explaining why I made one decision or the other … He starts to get out of shape, he doesn't like the YouTube theme and concludes that either I don't upload videos about football or I'm not in the team. It gives me a weekend to think about it. “

Despite what uploading these types of videos brings to his channel, Kolderiu preferred to live the experience of being trained by a European champion and his idol so he called him to say yes, he would stop uploading that type of content. It was there that the goalkeeper got a surprise. “His reply was that he had already discarded me. I was crazy because at that moment I had rejected a very good offer because I understood that I was going with him. He literally rejected me for being youtuber“, says the doorman.

Victor Valdes He left Horta last January to join Joan Laporta's project and for this Kolderiu is finally grateful for what happened. “In his day he shocked me, especially because he didn't warn me. The only thing is that I would have liked him to send me a message to let me know and I would have understood it perfectly because I know and he told me, Being a youtuber is not giving me opportunities, it is taking them away“.

A curious story with a happy ending as the Barça exporter ended up leaving the team and Kolderiu was finally able to make his debut with Unión Adarve on February 14.
