The new coach of CA Osasuna, Vicente Moreno, has assured that he is going to leave “his life” on the red bench, something that represents “a unique opportunity” that “any LaLiga coach would like to have.”
“I can assure you that all the people who accompany me, myself and the people I am going to meet in the home coaching staff, are going to give their lives, it is a unique opportunity that any LaLiga coach would like to have,” He noted during the press conference of his presentation, in which he appeared alongside the club’s president, Luis Sabalza, and the sports director, Braulio Vázquez.
In this sense, he stated that “the joy of being in Osasuna is immense.” “I thank the president and his board of directors for their welcome and treatment from the first moment I was able to meet them. I especially want to thank Braulio and Cata for choosing me,” he said.
Furthermore, the Valencian coach assured that his values go “very hand in hand” with those that characterize the Navarrese club. “I am a person who gives a lot of importance to work. I think I am a close, humble, very hard-working person, everything I have achieved in football, as you well know, has been based on work. I don’t expect Nobody gives me anything here in Osasuna, I know that before I receive I will have to give a lot of work,” he noted.
In another vein, Moreno acknowledged that it will be difficult to replace a coach like Jagoba Arrasate. “It is a difficult moment to arrive because you cannot ignore the figure of Jagoba, the work that he has been doing, the people who are there and work at the club and also the fans,” he said.
“I believe that in recent years, hand in hand, you have achieved very difficult and very important things. We are going to have that reference from the previous coach, we are going to try to give continuity to all the good that has been done, which has been a lot, that we must try to take advantage of. Two people are not exactly the same either personally or professionally, but obviously I hope in a long time we can look back and be similar in many ways in everything that has happened in recent years,” he continued.

Finally, he considers that he is “lucky” to have been able to land on the red bench. “I am convinced that I am going to take advantage of the opportunity. I cannot guarantee anything other than work, I want to take advantage of this opportunity, I also want to learn a lot and at the same time contribute to the club, and I am looking forward to the start,” he concluded.
The president of Osasuna, Luis Sabalza, explained to Moreno that he is coming “to a very special club.” “I know that this is professional football and of course the results are important, but above all in this team, in this club, we value work, sacrifice and representing the values of Osasuna,” he warned.
“Braulio has told us that one of the reasons why he chose you is because you are a humble person and a tireless worker, so I can only ask you one thing: that you enjoy the experience of being coach of Osasuna. I assure you one thing: it is a demanding position, but it is wonderful what this club is like,” he added.
Finally, the sports director, Braulio Vázquez, offered the reasons for Moreno’s signing. “His teams are competitive, they are vertical, they do not spare any kind of effort, he is a tireless worker, and I believe that he somewhat represents the values of our club,” he stressed.
“He has similarities with Jagoba, with nuances, and because of his way of understanding football, which is neither better nor worse, he is different. There were values that were important for Osasuna next year: intensity, verticality, dedication, mini-duels that there are in each game, which Vicente insists a lot on each player. Then we will win or lose, but what I am clear about is that the team is going to give everything and that is highly appreciated here, in addition to the results,” he concluded.
