Valladolid starts commanding in LaLiga Hypermotion

The Second Division opened the 2023/24 season with a draw between Amorebieta and Levante

MADRID, 11 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Valladolid beat Real Sporting de Gijón 2-0 this Friday on matchday 1 of LaLiga Hypermotion, with goals from Iván Cédric and Monchu Rodríguez, to start commanding a 2023/24 season whose curtain was raised with a draw (1-1) between SD Amorebieta and Levante UD.

On Field 2 of the Lezama facilities, the Second Division of Spanish men’s soccer began to roll this year. He opened Mohamed Bouldini’s goalscoring account 30 minutes into the game, pushing an assist from Adrián de la Fuente made in foreshortening, after a set piece.

Eneko Jauregi equalized for Amorebieta on 64′, taking a ball with luck and on a rebound that hit him in the arm; then he scored thanks to a subtle Vaseline inside the area that saved the rival goalkeeper’s exit. The played, this yes, required that it was validated completely by means of a consultation with the VAR.

The José Zorrilla Municipal Stadium took over the day, where the locals returned to the ‘silver’ category to heal their wounds from the 2022/23 campaign in the First Division. Despite not already having Cyle Larin, Gonzalo Plata and Darwin Machis in their squad, Valladolid’s attack carbureted to take the lead on the scoreboard.

His 1-0 came in the 20th minute, following a cross from Iván Sánchez with his left foot and a changed wing. Free of marking at the far post, Cédric finished off from below and the ball entered with parsimony. Facing a Sporting without gunpowder, rebuilding after the goodbye this summer of 10 footballers, Monchu sentenced with a header (53′) in another cross by Iván Sánchez.
