Valencia avoids the surprise in Las Gaunas and Villarreal makes a ‘little hand’ in Chiclana

Granada and Deportivo Alavés beat, respectively, Arosa (0-3) and Deportivo Murcia (0-10)

MADRID, 2 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Valencia CF won this Thursday 0-2 on their visit to UD Logroñés, with a goal and assist from Pablo Gozálbez, to advance to the first round of the Copa del Rey along with Villarreal CF, Granada CF and Deportivo Alavés, who respectively They beat Chiclana CF (0-2), Arosa SC (0-3) and Deportivo Murcia (0-10).

At the Las Gaunas Stadium, the ‘che’ team left a discreet image despite starting several important men. Sergi Canós was the most destabilizing player in the Valencian ranks during the first half, which ended in the last play with the 0-1 score scored by Pablo Gozálbez, thanks to a low shot after a rebound inside the area.

Although UD Logroñés worried the rival goalkeeper several times, Jaume Doménech was confident in the key moments and his teammates scored in the 88th minute, with a quick attack that Gozálbez culminated in assisting Diego López. Once again the youth players saved Valencia from a bad experience.

Neighbor Villarreal also earned its ticket to the next round, with no problems defeating Chiclana in a match where Manu Trigueros stood out with a hat-trick. He opened the scoring with a left-footed shot into the top corner in the 19th minute, and then Jorge Pascual made it 0-2, after half an hour and after a great play by Ilias Akhomach.

Trigueros himself scored the third just before the break, from a pass from Carlos Romero on a counterattack, and also made it 0-4 with a penalty in the 72nd minute. Almost immediately, Álex Baena closed the ‘Little Hand’ of the ‘Yellow Submarine’ by taking advantage of a rebound from the local goalkeeper in a shot.

On the other hand, at the A Lomba Municipal Stadium, Granada solved its tie without scares. José Callejón opened the scoring (min.19) by defining with class before the goalkeeper came out, having unmarked himself behind the center backs to make a good long pass from Gonzalo Villar.

The modest Arosa, who plays in the Tercera RFEF, vigorously resisted the attacks of the First Division team until the final stretch of the match. First Shon Weissman and a little later Famara Diédhiou certified the Granada team’s 0-3 victory.

In addition, Hércules de Alicante lost against Burgos CF by 1-2 and CF Villanovense defeated UD Ibiza (2-1), overcoming the initial goal that Nikolay had scored for the Ibizans with goals from Mario González and José Bermúdez Obolsky.

Finally, on the La Condomina grass, Deportivo Alavés showed no mercy to the equally modest Deportivo Murcia. A double from Abde Rebbach and another goal from Rubén Duarte put Vitoria’s result back on track before the break, but the real feast came when returning from the locker room.

Two more goals from Xeber Alkain, another two from Ianis Hagi and a final hat-trick from Jon Karrikaburu signed the bulky and final 0-10 for Alavés. Meanwhile, the Gimnástica Segoviana vs Sestao River and Atzeneta UE vs Real Zaragoza matches were postponed due to the passage of the storm ‘Ciarán’ through the Iberian Peninsula.
