Manchester United did not want to say goodbye to Odion Ighalo so soon. Eight games with the red devils, before the stoppage due to the coronavirus, have served the Nigerian striker to make such a good impression on Old Trafford that they have decided to extend his loan until next January 2021, as reported by the club English.
Although Ighalo's loan was ending this month, the exceptional situation has forced Manchester United to act. His team, the Shanghai Shenshua, will be a whole year without its striker despite the fact that the Chinese league will return in July.
Ighalo arrived at Manchester United in the last winter market, in a last minute move, and has scored four goals in eight games. United will have no purchase option.
