Matches in each group will take place in just two zones, reducing travel distances for teams and fans between host cities, and allowing participating team delegations to travel by train or bus from their base camps to the stadiums.

The opening match will be played by teams 1 and 2 from group A on Friday, June 14. It will be the only game that day. On the 15th in Cologne the match between teams 3 and 4 of group A will be played, as well as in Berlin the matches between teams 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 of group B.

The stadiums that will host the most matches, six, will be the Allianz Arena in Munich, the Berlin Olympic and the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund.
