Toril renews as Real Madrid women’s coach until 2024

MADRID, 30 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Real Madrid women’s coach, Alberto Toril, has renewed his contract with the white club this Thursday after reaching an agreement between both parties until June 30, 2024, according to the merengue entity.

Alberto Toril, who took office in November 2021 after replacing David Aznar, had a contract until 2023, but this renewal extends one campaign and gives him more peace of mind to work as head of the Real Madrid women’s first team.

The Andalusian coach managed to get the team to the quarterfinals of the women’s ‘Champions’ this season -for the first time in the club’s history- and finished third in the Iberdrola League, earning the right to repeat their presence in the top continental competition the next course.

Alberto Toril was a Real Madrid first team player and also coach of Real Madrid Castilla, among other teams from the Madrid academy, with whom he achieved promotion to the Second Division in the 2011-2012 season.
