The footballer and the model welcomed their first child this Tuesday, a girl they called Ellie and which they have presented on social networks with an emotional image of the three hands together: “Welcome to the world, our little one. We love you very much”, they have written next to the image. The couple thus puts the finishing touch to their love story after getting married last summer in a dream wedding at the Château de la Croix des Gardes, on the Côte d’Azur.
Little Ellie is a ray of light for Thibaut Courtois y Michelle Gerzig, who have had a difficult few months due to the injuries of the Real Madrid goalkeeper. It has only been ten days since the player underwent surgery after breaking the internal meniscus in his right knee while training in Valdebebas. It was one of the first contacts with the field after the tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee that had kept him off the field since August. The goalkeeper will have to be out for another two months to fully recover, but the arrival of his daughter will encourage the long days of rest and rehabilitation.
Ellie is Mishel’s first daughter and Thibaut’s third, who has two other children, Adriana and Nicolásthe result of his relationship with the Spanish Marta Dominguez. The footballer and the model met through social networks in 2021 after exchanging messages. On their first date, in a well-known Madrid restaurant, they fell in love.
This Tuesday, the couple received a multitude of congratulations on the birth of little Ellie through the networks, some from well-known faces such as María Pombo, Alberto Contador or Dani Carvajal.
