The wonderful photos of the religious wedding of Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg and Nicolas Bagory

Alexandra of Luxembourg, fourth daughter of the Grand Dukes Enrique and María Teresa, has chosen French Provence, a family summer destination, to celebrate this Saturday her religious wedding with Nicolas Bagory. The 32-year-old princess has said ‘yes, I want’ to this 34-year-old Breton, trained academically in Classical Studies and Political Science at the Sorbonne in Paris and who works on the creation of social and cultural projects.

Both were already married civilly in the City Hall of the City of Luxembourg a week ago. The religious ceremony was officiated by the Bishop of Frejus-Toulon, Dominique Rey in the Church of Saint-Trophyme, near the private summer residence that the Grand Dukes Henri and Maria Teresa have in Cabasson.

Nicolas Bagory She arrived with her mother, dressed in an aquamarine suit with transparent sleeves and floral embroidery in different pastel colors. The mother of the bride, the Grand Duchess, has chosen a black jumpsuit with a green flower on the right shoulder as a shawl over her arm.

The bride’s little brothers, Prince Louis and Prince Sebastian, were among the first guests to arrive. Louis, accompanied by his two sons, Gabriel, 17, and Noah, 15, who were born as a result of his relationship with Tessy from Luxembourg, from whom he separated in 2017.

Then came Felix of Luxembourg and Princess Claire, dazzling in a red Zuhair Murad dress. The second son of the Grand Dukes and his wife have posed with his children: Amalia, who is already nine years old, and Liam, seven.

Later, Prince William, future heir to the Grand Duchy, and his wife, Stéphanie de Lannoy, arrived. They have two children, Charles, two years old, who was in the arms of his father, and little François, one month old, who was not taken to the wedding.

The ceremony was scheduled at four in the afternoon and the bride made her appearance 18 minutes late. The only daughter of Enrique and Maria Teresa of Luxembourg walked arm in arm with her father cheered by those present.

Alexandra has chosen a design with an intertwined neckline and a long rounded train, a veil encrusted with mini diamonds and white high-heeled shoes. The princess has opted for a romantic-inspired low updo and the diamond Chaumet Tiara, a piece that the Grand Duchess has worn on occasions with pearls, but not this time, because they are removable. Her other jewels at the wedding were earrings and a pearl bracelet with a brilliant clasp.

The newlyweds have left the Church of Saint-Trophyme ninety minutes after the ceremony began and have not kissed despite the insistence of the Bormes-les-Mimosas public.

Afterwards, the couple has gone in a spectacular car (a 1962 MG cabrio) to go to the party. When leaving, Nicolás, very nervous, who was driving the roadster, he accidentally went backwards and the gendarmes ended up pushing to help him start.
