The women’s team goes back to Portugal and achieves a new victory at the World Skating Games

The Spanish women’s roller hockey team beat the Portuguese team on Tuesday (2-3), in a disputed match that had to come back in the second half to add a new victory in the second duel of the group stage of the World Games of Skating that are being celebrated in Argentina.

The team led by Ricard Muñoz started strong looking for the Portuguese goal insistently from the first minute, with clear chances from Aina Florenza and Laura Puigdueta. However, Portugal responded with two actions and, although the first was saved by Laura Vicente, in the second Moncóvio scored.

The goal against caught the Spanish players a little off guard, but little by little they began to reach the rival goal more clearly. However, the Spanish ran into the defense and the Portuguese goalkeeper, Claudia Vicente. In the absence of very little to the end of the first half, Marlene Sousa made the second for her own, lifting and chipping the ball in front of the Spanish goalkeeper.

The national team had to react in the second half and after a few minutes of control of the game, Sara Roces closed the gap after a great drop by Mariona Colomer. Thus, the match picked up a cruising pace and at that moment Aina Florenza appeared to score two goals and sign the final comeback.
