The VIPs that Norman Forter and Elena Ochoa choose to celebrate ARCO in Madrid

elena ochoa y Norman Foster organized this Wednesday an elegant night party to celebrate the inauguration of ARCO, the Madrid Contemporary Art Fair at their Madrid gallery, Ivory Press. As artistic patrons that they are, the couple organized a meeting attended by celebrities related to different artistic abilities; from Boris Izaguirre a double lightgoing by Rossy de Palma o Eugenia Martinez de Irujo and her husband were among the guests. The art represented by all kinds of talents.

The couple offered a party this Wednesday in their art gallery, where they went to receive their guests after having toured ARCO on its first day of opening. Elena arrived at her party wearing oversized sunglasses, looking more therapeutic than accessory, and an elegant black pantsuit. On her lapel she highlighted a striking brooch in the shape of the sun, which may well be considered a small work of art.

The evening was attended by a diverse Spanish representation of artists and members of the nobility who belong to the circle of friends of Foster and Otxoa. Among the guests were the presenter Boris Izaguirre, the designer Agatha Ruiz de la Pradawith a voluptuous and striking red coat, the singer Luz Casal, the actress Rossy de Palma and Eugenia Martínez de Irujo with her husband, the music producer Narcissus Rebollo.

Ivorypress is the Madrid gallery that Elena Ochoa inaugurated in 2008 in Madrid’s central Comandante Zorita street, where you can see art exhibitions of all kinds and buy the photography and art books/jewels that she publishes through Ivory Press with protagonists as the chill, Richard Long, Anthony Caro, Anish Kapoor, Francis Bacon o Isamu Noguchi.

Lady Foster, as she is known in aristocratic circles in which she operates in the United Kingdom, where she lives with her famous and prestigious husband and their two young children, is one of the most influential collectors and patrons in the world.

Before marrying the architect Norman Foster in 1996, the psychologist, university professor and expert in psychopathology was famous in Spain for having been the presenter of the program let’s talk about sex of Televisión Española in 1990, a milestone as it was the first time that the issue was publicly addressed in this country.

Their marriage opened the doors to the world of art and since then he has directed Ivory Press and has curated exhibitions at institutions such as the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Venice Biennale.
