Barcelona will face Eintracht in the Europa League quarterfinals. An apparently affordable rival, who will be ninth in the Bundesliga, but against whom Xavi’s team should not trust, since they have just eliminated a Betis that, a priori, also started as favorites in the round of 16. In the event of qualifying for the semi-finals, the Catalans will face the winner of West Ham-Lyon, a dangerous crossing, especially for the English team, which has eliminated Sevilla and is fighting to enter the Champions League zone in the Premier. Even so, Barça starts as the favorite to reach the final on May 18 in Seville.
In addition to avoiding the two strongest rivals (Atalanta and Leipzig, who face each other), Luck has smiled on Barcelona in all aspects of the draw, since it will play the second leg of the quarterfinals at the Camp Nou as well as the second leg of the hypothetical semifinal. The first legs of the quarterfinals will be played on Thursday, April 7, and the second legs a week later, on the 14th.. The semifinals will be played on April 28 (first legs) and May 5 (returns) while the grand final will be held on May 18 at the Sánchez-Pizjúan, in Seville.
