The TAD opens a file against Pedro Rocha for very serious misconduct

MADRID, 12 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Sports Administrative Court (TAD) has opened a file for a “very serious” infraction against the former president of the Management Commission of the RFEF Pedro Rocha, and the only candidate in the presidential elections, for a very serious infraction for not calling elections in his moment and exceed their functions.

According to the newspapers El País and El Confidencial, the TAD would have opened said file against Rocha after taking into account the complaint presented by the president of Cenafe, Miguel Galán, shortly after the director’s statement this Friday in a court in Majadahonda (Madrid). ) within the framework of the investigation of the ‘Brody case’ after which he went from witness to investigator.

Rocha came to testify before the judge about his level of knowledge of the alleged illegal commissions for the transfer of the Spanish Soccer Super Cup to Saudi Arabia or for the rigging of contracts in favor of the construction company Gruconsa that caused the intervention of the Civil Guard. at the RFEF headquarters.

In this sense, the president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, came out ‘in defense’ of Pedro Rocha this Thursday at the inauguration of the fifth edition of the ISDE Sports Convention congress. “He has been a vase in the time of Luis Rubiales. One thing is to preside and another thing is to do. Before there was a praetorian guard and I have not seen him there,” he said.

The opening of the file against Rocha occurs on the day in which he has been proclaimed as the only candidate for the presidency of the RFEF, after being the only one who has presented this Thursday the necessary endorsements to opt for the seat left vacant by Luis Rubiales after his disqualification for the ‘Hermoso case’.

CSD sources indicated to Europa Press that they had not yet received any resolution from the TAD. Likewise, they confirmed that the Government has held talks this Friday with the International Football Federation (FIFA) in the face of a situation that, according to the organization, “aggravates” the crisis in the federation.

For this reason, the president of the CSD, José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, has contacted FIFA “immediately” on his own initiative and will hold these conversations in the coming hours to guarantee the “good development” of the international commitments that football Spanish has ahead, among them the organization of the 2030 World Cup.
