The Spanish handball team adds its fourteenth medal and fourth gold

MADRID, Jan. 26 (SportsFinding) –

The Spanish men's handball team on Sunday added its fourteenth medal in a major international tournament after winning its second continental title after winning the European final in Austria, Norway and Sweden to Croatia by 22-20.

Spain managed to reissue its European crown, becoming the second team to get it and the first since Sweden chained a triplet from 1998 to 2002, which will now try to emulate in 2022.

In addition, the 'Hispanics' got their fourth gold since these two Europeans must join the two World Cups from 2005 and 2013 and the fourteenth presents in a great tournament. The male handball has eight continental metals (two golds, four silvers –96, 98, 06 and 16– and two bronzes –2000 and 2014–), three worlds (two golds and one bronze –2011–) and three Olympic bronzes (1996, 2000 and 2008).
