The RFEF signs with China to export football brand Spain

Luis Rubiales has reached an agreement with the Government of China to export Spanish football to the Asian giant. A replica of the Football City in Beijing will be built and four more satellite sites will be built in different Chinese cities. The Federation (RFEF) will train players and coaches in Tianjin, in a center recognized by FIFA that will go on to exploit, while these headquarters are spread throughout the Asian country.

The president of the RFEF, Luis Rubiales, formalized this morning the signing of this commitment, in a telematic connection with the consortium of Chinese companies, an action that will involve the creation of a Football City in Beijing, four more satellites in other Chinese cities and the beginning of the training work in the facilities that currently exist in Tianjin, where the Spanish Federation will begin to impart knowledge on this matter.

The main purpose of this large-scale initiative is to export Spanish talent to the Asian giant, something that will undoubtedly generate benefits in all areas for national football, through the specific training of players from base to professional level, coaches and other technical bodies, in addition to actors involved in the world of football. All this, applying the Spanish methodology and knowledge.

The agreement has been signed between the RFEF and the companies CICFHS, Beijin Investment Group (BIG) and Beijing Institute of Architectural Design (BIAD). The first of these is a company focused on sports and specialized in the research, development, promotion and commercialization of the main contents of Sport's Intellectual Property, as well as facilities and infrastructure for the Chinese market. It is backed by China Investment Financial Holdings (“CICFH”), a fund linked to the Chinese Government.. For its part, Beinjin Investement Group is a Beijing municipal government company for investments in special projects; while the Beijing Institute of Architectural Design is a state architectural consultancy for the Beijing Government, a leader in architectural planning and design.

These actors, with the advice of the RFEF, they will build a Football City in Beijing, which will be supported by four others in large cities in China, whose location is currently closing. These new facilities will be located in what is known as New Beijing, where there will also be leisure, residential, business, catering and sports centers. It is an area promoted by the Government of Beijing, where the political and ministerial center will be located and that seeks to attract Chinese citizens to demasify the center of the capital of this country.

The start of this work in Beijing already has all the licenses and during the duration of these works, the Federation will be able to start its advisory and training work in facilities that the Government will transfer in Tianjin, a city south of Beijing. This sports area, with a value of 150 million euros, is internationally recognized by FIFA and will be exploited by the RFEF.
