The Ministry of Culture and Sports presents its TikTok profile

The Ministry of Culture and Sports officially presents its profile on the social network TikTok, leader of short format videos, https://www.tiktok.com/@culturagob, with the aim of bringing its activity to new audiences, mainly the youngest. The profile of the Ministry has remained active in recent months in a trial period, adapting content from the Ministry and its entities to the trends that the social network itself raises and testing its community. Thus, short videos with the National Library of Spain, the Spanish Film Library, the National Ballet of Spain or the Superior Sports Council as protagonists are shown in this new social network, in addition to the works and activities of the 16 state museums and the National Museum of the Prado, Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza and Museo Reina Sofía, which will be viralized today through the #MuseumMoment trend that TikTok has prepared on Tuesday for International Museum Day.

The Ministry of Culture and Sports transfers to TikTok, the body language and audiovisual social network par excellence, exhibitions, plays, dance, sports competitions and training of high-level athletes, among others. The actor Santiago Segura, the singer Leire Martínez or the athletes Garbiñe Muguruza, Óscar Husillos, Pablo Andújar and Pablo Abián have already participated in this new channel of the Ministry. TikTok is the social network of the moment, adding more than 300 million users in the last year and a half. 25% of his audience is not on another social network and, according to Kantar, 67% of TikTok users are over 25 years old. After the first months of testing, the institutional profile has 5,000 followers and almost 30,000 'likes'.
